CARET package moving to TidyModels - scalability - processing 200GB of transactional Data - Some mention Python is the way to go?

Hi Team - I'm working on a caret based machine learning model and folks mention that I should switch to Python as it will scale more readily. That sounds odd to me, I appreciate python, but R (tidy R specifically) is just easy for me to read and understand. I'm trying to keep an open mind - but do others have experience here and can you help me understand some benchmarking related to this topic (R vs Python on scaling ML models).

Any and all information appreciated! Adam
