I have an issue that is exactly the same as described in this post. As described in there, I reseted the project state and the Desktops's state. I also uninstalled R and R Studio and reinstalled both. I also delete the .Rproj, Rhistory and .Rprofile. After that, I tried creating a new project in the same directory and the issue remained:
