Cannot log into R Studio Server while command is running (Expected?)

Hello,

Minimum reproducible example:
If I run system('sleep 90') in the RStudio console, then login out (without terminating my session), then attempt to log back in, I get the spinning graphic and then prompted to terminate R and/or log in in "Safe Mode". It seems like RStudio Server is waiting for my command to complete before letting me log in.

Version info:
RStudio 2023.03.1+446 "Cherry Blossom" Release (6e31ffc3ef2a1f81d377eeccab71ddc11cfbd29e, 2023-05-09) for Ubuntu Jammy
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:125.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/125.0
