Cannot Interrupt R on new Posit Workbench

This issue was closed because it had no replies: quarto doc: chunk execution stalls, but cannot interrupt R

I am experiencing this. We recently upgraded to RStudio Pro v2023.06.2, and since then I have been experiencing the frustrating scenario that the "Interrupt R" option is unavailable/greyed out during execution - meaning restarting is the only option.

Version info:

RStudio 2023.06.2+557.pro1 "Mountain Hydrangea" Release (4a31d070fb3f304a50a6dd8843129ddc5992527d, 2023-08-04) for RHEL 8
