Can we update leafletjs to 1.7.1

Hi,
I'm currently trying to update leafgl to use the latest upstream dependency of Leaflet.glify. It seems that it comes with it's own version of leafletjs 1.7.1 and this causes some issues when used with the current CRAN version of leaflet.

Are there any plans on updating leaflet to use leafletjs 1.7.1? If not, is there a way to update that dependency manually at runtime?
