This error shows up when I try building a dengrogram:
Dendrogram(featuredata = df, groupdata = dg, saveplot = TRUE,
plotname = "4e5 half", savetype = c("jpeg"),
distmethod = "euclidean", aggmethod = "average",
main = "4e5 days 4-8", cex = 0.8, clust = TRUE,
rect = TRUE, nclust = 3, height = NULL)
Error in graphics:::plotHclust(n1, merge, height, order(x$order), hang, :
invalid dendrogram input
My featuredata and groupdata were processed as such:
library(NormalizeMets)
fdata <- read.csv(file = "D:/metabolomics/4E5/half strains/4fdata.csv", row.names = 1)
gdata <- read.csv(file = "D:/metabolomics/4e5/half strains/4gdata.csv", row.names = 1)
df <- dist(fdata)
dg <- dist(gdata)

Could you please turn this into a self-contained reprex (short for repr oducible ex ample)? It will help us help you if we can be sure we're all working with/looking at the same stuff.
Right now the best way to install reprex is:
# install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("tidyverse/reprex")
If you've never heard of a reprex before, you might want to start by reading the tidyverse.org help page . The reprex dos and don'ts are also useful.
What to do if you run into clipboard problems
If you run into problems with access to your clipboard, you can specify an outfile for the reprex, and then copy and paste the contents into the forum.
reprex::reprex(input = "fruits_stringdist.R", outfile = "fruits_stringdist.md")
For pointers specific to the community site, check out the reprex FAQ , linked to below.
