I had to sort out several issues in order to self-publish the book. Fortunately, the journey ended with a PDF, Kindle, and two paperbacks (color and B&W) publications on Amazon.

I've published two-blog posts explaining several details about the "how-to", the one I talked more about Bookdown technical aspects is: How to self-publish a book: Customizing Bookdown

I had to solve several layout issues before Amazon approves the book. I hope I explained everything in the posts. The capabilities of bookdown are incredible.
