BIVARIATE FRAILTY MODELS in R

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to fit a survival model with bivariate frailty. I have two variables to consider as frailties.
I'm looking for a package that could help me with that.
I tried using the coxme package but it uses a lognormal distribution for the frailty (and i want to try another distribution like gamma)
The other packages that i found uses only a univariate frailty.

Hi @Shelsea,

i would recomend CRAN Task View: Survival Analysis especially the section Random Effect Models. Frailtypack seems to hit the necessary requirements you want.
