Using latest on Linux/Ubuntu Jammy download version. It seems odd there are no icons next to the menu bar items (drop downs). There's a placeholder for them, but no icons at all for any menu item.
I notice in the docs there certainly are icons visible: RStudio User Guide - Managing Files
There are icons in the menus as documented (that you linked to i.e. the File Menu , but not the View menu; and the view menu was not shown on the document you linked to.
Can you show what your File Menu drop down looks like ? i.e. does it lack icons ?
