Announcing Public RStudio Package Manager
Today we are excited to announce the availability of https://packagemanager.rstudio.com. This service offers the R community access to the benefits of RStudio Package Manager including pre-built package binaries for Linux and historical CRAN checkpoints.
This service builds off of the wonderful work done by CRAN, and is a supplement, not a replacement, for RStudio’s popular CRAN mirror. For example, this service does not accept or test packages - only packages available on a traditional CRAN mirror are available here. But, in addition to a regular CRAN mirror, this service offers historical access to older versions of CRAN and access to pre-built packages for Linux.
