My shinyapps.io/Posit Cloud account was suspended with a "use of paid process" message (showing a suspension date of Jan 1, 2111). I use this account to teach R to students and we were working through a web scraping unit pulling Reddit comment data (via RedditExtractoR) and site data like IMDb ratings and Google reviews (via rvest).
I also tested RSelenium and chromote a few times, to check whether scraping behaved differently between a macOS and a Windows machine (headers, rendering, etc.). I now understand those spin up a headless browser, which is a paid-tier feature, and that's almost certainly what triggered the suspension. It wasn't intentional; I didn't realize that was gated.
I've since archived my projects. Could someone help reinstate the account? Happy to confirm I won't run RSelenium/chromote on the free tier going forward.
