Matthew Montero holds a Master's in computer science and a Bachelor's in statistics. Recently, earned the Associate in Insurance Data Analytics (AIDA) designation from The Institutes and became a computer science PhD candidate at Florida Atlantic University with a focus in machine learning.
Near a decade of experience in research & development and
R programming. During this time, he has co-authored two CAS forum publications, Bayesian Trend Selection and Indemnity Benefit Duration and Obesity, and presented at both the Actuarial Committee and Joint Pools’ Reserving Committee.
