I don't do much data analysis or statistical inferencing in my regular work. But when I do, I use R. I've also been an advocate of literate programing, and so Sweave and Knitr are things I like in principle, even if I rarely have cause to use them

I'm a Bayesian from before it was cool, and view the study of Statistics as "Empirical Epistemology". (Ok, that's an over statement, but it is still close to the mark.)
