I have a habit of opening rstudio and then go to a different program to work and wait for rstudio to open. When I do this, the rstudio splash screen stays on top until I open rstudio. This is a bit annoying and is not the behavior I would expect. I guess it's not the most important problem but it would be nice to fix.

What operating system (and what version of RStudio) do you use? I do not see this on Linux Mint.
Not on Windows either.
Strange. I'm on W11 and I'm running Rstudio 2025.05.1 Build 513 so it may have been fixed in more recent releases.
Could be. I'm also on W11 but 2026.01.1 Build 403
