Recommended book for Statistics

Please could I have recommendations for books on statistics? - preferably with examples in R
I have basic means, standard deviation and regression. But despite a few years of R, not had to do much stats.

Is the Nutshell "Practical Statistics (with examples in R and Python)" good?

Hi @mikecro, I'd recommend Welcome to ModernDive (v2) | Statistical Inference via Data Science. It's well written and easy to follow.

If that's not exactly what you're after, there is a section in https://www.bigbookofr.com that lists accessible resources for statistics - I'm sure there will be something there that covers your needs.

@mikecro The book you mention, Practical Statistics is a very good overview of statistics. I recommend it as a starter before diving in to ModernDIve

Thank you - that does look clear. And online!

Thank you. I will start with Practical Statistics
