App fails to deploy to shinayapps.io

I had a functioning shiny app, which I last deployed to shinyapps.io some months ago. I have just updated the app and had to download the token etc, for the first time. That seemed to work and the upload progressed until I got a warning:

An error has occurred!

An error has occurred. Check your logs or contact the app author for clarification.

This is from Chrome (latest version for Ubuntu Linux). Not even sure what logs

I'm sure my search will have failed to find a discussion that's already answered this, but it's also my first time using this forum - I apologise in advance.

Any help gratefully received.

I assume the message refers to the application's server logs. Log into your account on shinyapps.io. In the Dashboard, find your app and click on it. Along the top, click on Logs. That should display a log of the most recent attempt to execute the app.

Thanks Paul. I’ve tried various solutions, but have decided to just stop trying to deploy apps for anyone else. I’ll just do apps and analytics for my own use.
